Rolling out the red Ferarri

The Ferrari in the Garage

I was recently asked: “What’s the point in having a Ferrari if it’s left parked up in the garage?”

Let me be clear, I don’t have a Ferrari (or a garage to park it in, for that matter). This was a metaphor for our ‘Conversations that Matter’ programme for leaders. A programme that has been approved by the Association for Coaching and supports leaders to develop and embed a coaching mindset, enabling more purposeful and impactful workplace conversations.

Scaling Impact

We have been delivering this programme for many years now and leaders consistently tell us it’s transformational – not just in how they lead, but in all their relationships. Word spreads quickly across organisations as teams experience the shift from directional to transformational conversations.

The challenge? I’ve been reluctant to showcase what we’ve built, which means there’s little visibility of what we do. Those who know me understand my struggle with self-promotion, yet they also know I have a vision for much bigger impact. It’s a very real tension.

As part of my vision for reaching a wider audience, I recently ran our first pilot programme to accredit a small group of selected training providers. Having experienced the programme as learners initially, their feedback was consistent with the leaders – they felt the blended learning approach had real impact and were excited to introduce it to their clients.

The Programme

At the heart of all our work is building relationships, and at the heart of relationships are conversations. It is my belief that changing the way leaders have conversations with their people can transform organisational culture.

Our 12 week blended programme combines:

  • eLearning modules covering coaching fundamentals
  • Live workshops (virtual or face-to-face) for skill practice
  • 1:1 virtual mentoring for personalised development

We focus on building three core capabilities: listening deeply, getting curious, and asking questions that provoke insight. These aren’t just coaching skills, they’re essential leadership capabilities for the modern workplace.

Progress is tracked through before-and-after assessments, ensuring measurable mindset shifts and behaviour changes that create high challenge and high support conversations.

The Evidence Speaks

We have delivered this programme to hundreds of leaders across varying sectors, and the impact of our programme has been measurable:

  • Increased confidence to lead using coaching skills: up by 35%
  • Employee engagement scores:13% higher on key metrics
  • Positive impact on culture: 8% increase in performance scores
  • Autonomy levels: up by 15%

Rolling Out the Ferrari

So, this is me, rolling out our red Ferrari (apparently it must be ‘red’)

My newly accredited training providers quite rightly feel they can’t shout about the programme provenance and pedigree as well as I can as the founder. They are ready to expand reach, so it’s time for me to be more vocal.

My vision:

  • Partner with forward-thinking organisations ready to transform their leadership culture
  • Grow our network of accredited providers for global reach
  • Support many leaders in creating high-performing, engaged teams
  • I’m reframing ‘showcasing’ as simply engaging in more conversations – including on social media platforms because meaningful change happens one conversation at a time.
